Mattot Arim: ordinary Israelis
who are also passionate Zionists
"I am an engineer. It's just that I insert Eretz
Yisrael in at every pause. I get up - think about Eretz
Yisrael - go to work - think about Eretz Yisrael -
come home - think about Eretz Yisrael."
-- Hi-tech worker and Mattot Arim activist, central
Israel.

Who we are:
Mattot Arim is an Israeli grassroots organization
working to educate the public and its opinion leaders as to the
national interests of the Jewish people. Renowned Israeli journalist
Michael Karpin has called Mattot Arim “the biggest and best
organized protest organization ever established in Israel". Founded
in 1992, Mattot Arim is guided by the principle of wide-scale
activist civic involvement by the Jewish People in determining the
future of Israel.
What we do:
Mattot Arim’s disseminates critical information in
easy-to-understand terms, on issues of vital importance overlooked
by the Israeli media to the 13,000 members of our electronic
information service. This tool empowers citizens who are then guided
to express themselves in an informed and timely manner, influencing
the decisions of their elected representatives, non-governmental
organizations and community and national opinion leaders.

Accomplishments:
- Mattot Arim is a
potent, volunteer-run organization
- Our ever expanding
electronic education activities reach at
least 13,000 subscribers
- At a time of
national crisis, we organized 116 streetside
vigils in support of Gush Katif attended by
thousands from across the country
- In protest-weary
Israel, Mattot Arim can rapidly mobilize
powerful public support with dedicated
volunteers and on a minimal budget
