Seven years ago today, from August 15, 2005 until August 22, 2005, Jewish residents were evacuated from their homes in the Gaza Strip block of communities known as “Gush Katif”. Even today, seven years later, this event continues to have tremendous impact and significance in Israel.

Farmer father of 8 suffering from Palestinian lawfare, act now if you would like to help

Farmer, father of 8, scheduled for expulsion from Mitzpe Yair – MK’s are needed to prevent the destruction of his greenhouses which are the source of his family’s livelihood

Mordechai Deutsch, father of 8, is an agriculturalist residing in the community of Mitzpe Yair in the southern Har Hevron region. He is the brother of Shaya Deutsch, murdered in Gush Katif. Deutsch’s father, was also an agriculturalist, from Moshav HaZora’im, and had lost his family in the Holocaust. He remarried and raised a second family of nine children, among them the late Shaya and Mordechai.

Mordechai constructed greenhouses on State land in Mitzpe Yair more than a decade ago. Almost immediately Palestinians appealed the declaration (made 20 years ago!!) that the land on which Mitzpe Yair was built is State land. The appeal by the Palestinians was rejected. The Civil Land Authority noted that the Palestinians used the selfsame documents of “proof of ownership” in the past for several locations whose distance from Mitzpe Yair is considerable. Also it was found that the Palestinians’ affidavits were fabricated.

As usual the Palestinians turned to the Supreme Court. In response nervous officials in the Civil Land authority suddenly gave an assurance that the greenhouses belonging to the Deutsch family would be destroyed by the end of August, within 3 weeks. This is exactly the type of case on which severe criticism was leveled in the report recently given by the committee headed by retired judge Edmond Levy.

Members of Knesset can look into the matter and block the unjust steps being taken. But they are on vacation due to the summer recess of the Knesset!! Only if they see that the public cares a great deal about the case will the MK’s come to the assistance of the Deutsch family.

Therefore we ask you to forward this entire email directly to the Members of Knesset at their addresses listed below.

If the MK’s continue their summer slumber, the unnecessary and cruel destruction of the Deutsch’s greenhouses will occur, in only three weeks time!

חקלאי, אב ל-8, נדון לגירוש – איפה נתניהו והח"כים?

מרדכי דויטש, אב ל-8, הוא חקלאי ממצפה יאיר אשר בדרום הר-חברון.

אביו ז"ל, גם הוא חקלאי, ממושב הזורעים, איבד את משפחתו בשואה. הקים משפחה שנייה, 9 ילדים, ביניהם שעיה הי"ד ומרדכי.

מרדכי הקים חממות בקרקע שהינה אדמות מדינה, במצפה יאיר, לפני יותר מעשור, באופן חוקי ומקובל. אבל…

כמעט מייד, פלשתינים ערערו על כך שקרקעות במצפה יאיר בכלל הוכרזו (20 שנה קודם לכן!!) כקרקעות מדינה.

הערעור של הפלשתינים נדחה: המינהל האזרחי ציין, שהפלשתינים הפעילו כבר את אותם מסמכי "בעלות", במספר מקומות שונים — שהמרחק ביניהם למצפה יאיר, הוא רב.

כמו כן, נמצא כי תצהירי הפלשתינים וחוות הדעת שלהם – מפוברקים.

כרגיל, הפלשתינים פנו לבג"צ. בתגובה, המינהל האזרחי נבהל ולפתע, הבטיח שהחממות של משפחת דויטש ייהרסו – עד סוף אוגוסט! כלומר: הריסה תוך 3 שבועות, והמשפחה נותרת ללא כל פרנסה. זהו בדיוק מסוג המקרים, שעליהם נמתחה ביקורת חמורה בדו"ח הועדה בראשות השופט בדימוס אדמונד לוי.

חברי הכנסת שהיו יכולים לבדוק את העניין ולבלום את הצעדים הבלתי-מוצדקים – הינם בחופשה (פגרת הקיץ של הכנסת)!! רק אם יראו שלציבור מאד אכפת- יתפנו לסייע בנושא חשוב זה.

לכן, אנא העבירו את המייל הזה כולו ישירות לחברי הכנסת!

כי אם חברי הכנסת ימשיכו את תנומת הקיץ, עלול להתרחש חורבן מיותר ומרושע אצל משפחת דויטש, בעוד 3 שבועות בלבד!

Mattot Arim's report of MK & ministerial achievements – once every half a year — creates accountability for the National Camp voter. You can see, in the table above, the data on who in the Knesset is working for your beliefs, and who is not.

The table above shows you MKs' and ministers' achiement levels, based on a "RANK" function which takes lists of National Camp achievements for each MK and minister and turns them into numerical values from 99 (best achieving MK or minister), then 98 (2nd place), 97 (3rd place), etc. Then, averages are computed so you see the total performance of each MK and minister, averaged over 6 half-year periods that have elapsed so far, since the previous elections.

For the last half-year period, January-June 2012, instead of summing up many small achievements we looked at the single largest event of that half-year namely who voted for/against the settlement regulation law.

All the data is here above in the table for you to use and pass on.

As you can well imagine, I get inundated with requests for ZOA to join with all types of very important and worthwhile initiatives. Rarely do I ever encounter one, though, that is as extraordinary and critically important to the integrity and long term survival of the State of Israel as Regavim. The work this David is doing against the Goliath of foreign governments, NGOs and militant Arab elements—all attempting to undermine the Jewish character of the state by literally stealing its land—is truly remarkable.

I urge you to make every effort to attend the meeting outlined in the flyer below. Please RSVP and join us for an eye-opening presentation that will help you understand how we can put an end to an existentially dangerous silent surrender.

למרות הודעות המוקדמות של המשטרה, בכל השבוע ואתמול בלילה, כי תאפשר הבוקר כניסת מתפללים יהודים להר הבית, ולמרות שמאות יהודים התאספו בשער ההר לאחר הכנות מדוקדקות, טבילות, והסעות מכל רחבי הארץ. החליט הבוקר המפקד החדש של מחוז ירושלים מני יצחקי לסגור את ההר דווקא בתשעה באב, ודווקא בפני יהודים. כאשר כניסת מוסלמים להר הבית התאפשרה ללא שום הפרעה.

לדבריו של מפקד ההר אבי ביטון שנכח בשטח, ההר נסגר בשל התראות של מוסלמים להפר את הסדר בהר כדי למנוע את כניסתם של יהודים למתחם. באתרים שלהם מודיעים הערביים שהם אכן הצליחו במשימתם. התמונות מגלות שמדובר בכ-30 ערבים ו-100 ערביות שהיו בהיכון להתנפל על מתפללים יהודים שהגיעו לעלות בהר.

אירגוני המקדש קוראים לראש הממשלה ולשר ליברמן, להורות לשר לבטחון פנים יצחק אהרונוביץ להעמיד את המשטרה על חומרת התנהגותה היום בהר הבית. ובאם המשטרה מתקשה לאבטח את חופש התפילה והדת ליהודים בהר הבית במקביל לנוכחותם של המוסלמים במקום, אזי על המדינה לאמץ את המודל הנהוג במערת המכפלה בחגים יהודיים, בהם האתר משמש את היהודים בלבד. כפי שהמשטרה מדירה את היהודים בהר הבית בחגים המוסלמים ובכל ימי שישי ושבת.
