החלטת ממשלה חשובה בענייני יהודה ושומרון – כדאי לדעת –  

 

החלטת ממשלה 5251: “למדינת ישראל, כמדינת העם היהודי, יש זכות ותביעה לאזורים שמעמדם שנוי במחלוקת בארץ ישראל”

 

כלומר – לא רק שיש לנו זכות להיות ביהודה ושומרון, רמת הגולן ובקעת הירדן – הממשלה מתחייבת שהיא לא מוותרת על הזכות הזו ובכוונתה לתבע את הזכות הזו.

In this area of the West Bank no force can guarantee Israel’s security other than the IDF and our security services. Time after time we have seen how the local forces trained by the West to stop the Islamists cannot be relied upon following the departure of those Western forces… My friends, this is a fact. It cannot be ignored because of outdated political concepts.

We must understand that in any future settlement with the Palestinians, Israel will have to maintain long-term security control of the territory along the Jordan River. This is the practical basis for the idea of two nation-states which I presented in my Bar Ilan speech and which I continue to stand by. I defined it then as “a demilitarized Palestinian state that will recognize the Jewish state”.

What does “demilitarized Palestinian state” mean? Given what is happening around us, who will prevent infiltration into the Palestinian state and from the Palestinian state into Israel? Who will prevent the manufacturing of rockets and missiles inside Palestinian territory and their firing into Israel? … Who will prevent the dispatching of suicide terrorists from Palestinian cities to Israeli cities? Who will prevent the digging of tunnels into our territory? …Maintaining the demilitarization of the Palestinian state must be in Israel’s hands. Otherwise, it will simply be unsustainable. I believe that we must apply this updated concept to our arrangement with the Palestinians …..The evacuation of Israel’s forces would …severely endanger the State of Israel.

…Those who fail to understand that ignore reality. There are of course elements within the international community which consistently refuse to acknowledge this reality…. Of course the last ones to be convinced are several Western European countries that continue to call for various boycotts and divestments of Israel because of our presence and activities in the West Bank and on the Golan. …

When we return to the negotiating table, as I hope we will, we will have to address not only the question of mutual recognition of two nation-states and the cessation of the constant incitement against us, but also arrangements that will guarantee Israel’s continued security control along the Jordan River. There is simply no one else who can do it for us in the foreseeable future, neither Palestinian nor international forces. As we have seen time and again, the former are simply incapable of it, and the latter eventually evacuate.

Letter from senior Israeli academic to AIPAC: Don’t you know that the Middle East has changed?

I am surprised by your mission statement ( http://www.aipac.org/about/mission ) where the two state “solution” is still a major goal. It seems that you missed the major recent events in the Middle East. When PM Netanyahu surrendered to wild pressure by the Obama administration and made his Bar Ilan statement, he faced a very different situation.

 

In the current Middle East the borders between the states disappeared, the national states were destroyed. The Jihadists are threatening Jordan which is about to collapse  and 30000 of them are already in Judea and Samaria waiting to overtake the so called “Palestinian state” and kill Mahmud Abbas the moment that the IDF would not be there. In time of destruction of national states all over the region it is insane to create a mini-national state  that would be destroyed right away. Such a move would make the survival of Israel mission impossible.

 

Even Netanyahu changed his mind and this week added conditions to the proposed new state that make it a non state, he does not want the two state solution anymore because he is not blind to the recent major changes in the region.

 

Please replace the diskettes in your minds and computers and forget about the two states plan if you really want Israel to live in peace and security. Even the Gaza “experiment” is sufficient lesson to make us forget about the option of a Palestinian state next to us.

But your mission statement here: http://www.aipac.org/about/mission  is a terrible mistake.

 

Defining the two-state “solution” as your mission unfairly  forces all Israel supporters, and all US senators, to support the idea of having one tiny state for Israel — and another state next-door for kidnappers and for murderers. A state for those who condone (help) kidnappers and murderers, pay their salaries, coalition with them, glorify them on national television, demand they be released from prison, and even have a special minister devoted to Terrorist Affairs.  

 

Dear AIPAC managers and donors, please do not try to hang your support for the two-state “solution” on Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu. Elevating terrorism to “state” status is dangerous for Israel; Israel’s prime ministers (Golda Meir, Rabin, Begin, Shamir, Peres, Sharon, Netanyahu) all opposed the 2-state “solution” initially. The Israeli leaders  changed their minds – if ever – only following decades of brutal American and international pressure against Israel. So the two-state “solution” is a made-in-USA problem. And American Jewry and AIPAC must resolve this problem.

 

Please remove the two-state abomination from your mission statement.  The mission is security and peace – not a 2-state “solution” just a bike-ride away from Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv and Ben-Gurion Airport. The Jewish people has already suffered too much from such “solutions”.
